At Navoi Innovation University, the teachers of the Department of "Philology and Language Teaching" held a literary and artistic evening dedicated to the 88th anniversary of the birth of Erkin Vohidov, a brilliant creator, a fiery poet, a skilled translator, a skilled playwright and statesman, Hero of Uzbekistan, People's Poet of Uzbekistan, who made a worthy contribution to Uzbek literature.
At the beginning of the event, the head of the Navoi regional branch of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan Bakhriddin Sadriddinov, the vice-rector of the university for spiritual and educational affairs and youth issues A. Ergashov, and the head of the Department of Philology and Language Teaching K. Kadyrov spoke and expressed their valuable opinions about the idea of Erkin Vohidov's works and the personality of the poet.
During the event, special emphasis was placed on Erkin Vohidov's poetry, ghazals, epics, and dramas, and stage performances based on his works were presented. Songs based on the poet's poems, which have become the musical property of our people, were sung live.
This event, held with the participation of 5th-year graduating students of the "Philology and Language Teaching: Uzbek Language" educational program, was enjoyed by everyone.
At the end of the event, talented and gifted, active and enthusiastic students were duly awarded by the university leadership.
